Thank you for helping us bring Allan Sherman’s story to the screen, and now to the stage as well! 

What began more than a decade ago as a daydream became a commitment when we secured the rights to Allan’s life story. Our goal remains a feature biopic celebrating his extraordinary life, comedy, and music, and over the years we have found a large community that shares our enthusiasm for this incredibly interesting and complicated story.  

Over the years, we have heard from many notable actors, musicians, and comedians who are also fans, and that has helped keep that dream alive through so many difficult times. This project has survived a pandemic, labor disputes, the LA wildfires, and an entertainment business that seems to rewrite itself daily.

Then something wonderful happened. In December 2025, we staged Glory Glory Allan Sherman, a live celebration that brought more than 20 remarkable artists together at Philadelphia’s Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History. The show’s success brought a lot of attention to our project. It also opened new doors and new ways of thinking about how we could tell Allan’s fascinating story.

We are currently developing both a documentary and a one-person stage play while continuing to seek partners for the biopic. It’s an exciting moment. Unfortunately, excitement doesn’t pay the lawyers, and when you are working on multiple projects, you find yourself with multiple expenses.

Long story short, we need some help. That is why, for the first time in this process,  we’re launching a series of fundraisers to help cover the expenses of legal fees, rights and option payments, and updated pitch materials, etc.- money that is needed to fuel our work and keep these projects moving toward an audience.
